The John Gurney Collection - Part 1 is to be held on the 24th of January. Day 1 features Corgi Aviation Archive, “Forward March” groups, Corgi Classics, Original Omnibus, Routemaster Buses, Corgi Juniors plus boxed and unboxed single vehicles and groups. Further lots include Dinky farm vehicles, wagons, trailers, Fire and Rescue, military and buses; plus Matchbox (Dinky Toys), Matchbox Models of Yesteryear, Regular Wheels, Superfast, and Superkings. The sale will also include Oxford cars and commercials, Lledo, Vanguards, EFE, Brumm, Budgie, Solido and Britains, including “World War 1”; King & Country, Franklin Mint, Danbury Mint.

Highlights include:

The TV & Film Related Collection held on the 23rd of January as part of the Specialist Sale featured a wide range of vehicles, figures, toys and collectable items. Highlights include a “Fawlty Towers” Austin 1300 in a harder to find “Watery Fowls” window box; a Harry Potter Triwizard Champions wand set which includes "Harry Potter", "Cedric Diggory", "Fleur Delacour" and "Viktor Krum" wands; a gold plated Corgi No.272 "James Bond" Citroen 2CV taken from the film "For Your Eyes Only"; Lady Penelope and C-3PO See –Threepio dress up outfits; many Ghostbusters related items including carded figures and vehicles, plus Lots from James Bond, Batman, Star Wars, and many others.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Specialist Sale -- Tuesday 23rd January 2018 10:00 AM

The Specialist Sale which was held on the 23rd of January started at the earlier time of 10:00am to accommodate the 827 lots, as part of six private owner collections. The Cornish Corgi Toy Collection featured boxed and unboxed vehicles including racing cars, Police, commercials and TV and Film models. The West Midlands Dinky Toy Collection featured 44 lots of boxed and unboxed Dinky vehicles, including trucks and wagons and The Hampshire collection featured further Dinky cars.   The Suffolk Collection not only featured further boxed and unboxed Dinky vehicles but Corgi and Solido models, whilst The Jaguar Collection contained a mix of Matchbox Superfast Jaguar vehicles including Police. The TV & Film Related Collection featureed over 120 lots from shows such as Batman, James Bond, Harry Potter, Ghostbusters, Thunderbirds, Star Wars and many more. The sale concluded with 238 Matchbox models including Regular Wheels, Superfast, and Models of Yesteryear.









Featuring on the 23rd of January was The Cornish Corgi Toy Collection; this phenomenal Corgi collection from a single owner comprised boxed and unboxed vehicles including racing cars, Police, commercials and TV and Film models. Highlights include a Corgi No.258 "The Saints" Volvo P1800 with rare cast hubs, alongside another hard to find variation, this one with spun hubs, but with blue/dark aqua bonnet label. There was a selection of Corgi No.303S Mercedes 300SL Open Roadsters with different racing numbers, plus a Corgi No.333 BMC Mini Cooper S "RAC Sun International Rally" - accompanied with correct facsimile style letter dated 1967, and a Corgi No.435 Karrier Bantam "Drive Safely on Milk", this issue was posted from Ford Dunlop Birmingham to the "Milk Marketing Board" where the model was passed before issuing and comes complete with correct "Dunlop" card.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Model Train Sale -- Friday 19th January 2018 10:30 AM

The Model Train Sale to be held on the 19th of January features part 4 of The Southampton Collection, including Hornby (China), Hornby Railways and Bachmann OO Gauge. Other items in the sale include O Gauge British Outline, HO and N Gauge, Hornby Dublo 2 and 3-rail plus literature & accessories; Wrenn, Triang Railways and Kit/Kitbuilt OO Gauge, Meccano & Other Constructional Toys. The sale will conclude with Live Steam, Gauge 1 & Larger; Hornby, modern and further O Gauge plus Kit/Kitbuilt and our usual good selection of General Trains.
