Vectis Auctioneer Andrew Reed believes the reason for these phenomenal prices is the quality, rarity and condition of this collection. There was a lot of interest before the sale and the Mint models in Mint condition boxes ensured some extremely strong prices achieved.

Further lots from the John Gurney collection include an outstanding collection of ‘Bronze-age’ comics (Feb 28th) and 740 Durham Classics models (March)
