Coming up in the 29th of August Dolls and Teddy bear sale is a rather special Sindy ....

Lot 5365 - Hasbro Sindy doll, early 1990s, wearing Vivienne Westwood designer outfit, blonde intricately styled hair, pink sateen dress with corseted bodice and padded skirt, crown style hat, pink ballet wedge heels (one lacks ribbon tie), Westwood crown logo pendant (base is missing), Good Plus.
From the doll's original vendor: "I was the PR Manager for Hasbro in the early nineties and at the time Sindy was celebrating her 30th anniversary. We used a real-life Sindy and I organised a big 30th birthday party in London at which she wore an outfit created by Vivienne Westwood.
The party was held at a venue in London which had a glass roof and was attended by Vivienne Westwood and her muse Sarah Stockbridge wore the real-life costume. They made a small outfit for Sindy too, did her hair etc. and there are only two in the world. (The other doll was purchased by the V & A Museum of Childhood, Bethnall Green, London.)"
