The Model Train Sale held on the 19th of July featured OO Gauge British Outline from Bachmann, Hornby (China), Mainline Railways, Heljan and others; HO USA & Continental Outline from Marklin, Rivarossi, Bachmann Spectrum and more. Plus, N Gauge, Hornby Dublo 2- and 3-rail, Kit/Scratchbuilt OO Gauge, and O Gauge locomotives and rolling stock from Hornby, modern and further. The sale also included Part 2 of the Lawrence Scale Models Single Owner Collection and a further eight lots of Japanese/Korean Brass British Outline OO Gauge Locomotives. Additional lots included Gauge 1 & Larger, G Gauge, a Trix Footplate Man Construction Set, Meccano, Live Steam, plus catalogues, Books, Magazines, DVD’s, and our usual good selection of General Trains.
The Specialist Tinplate and Plastic sale to be held on the 10th of July featured 200 lots of Tinplate and plastic vehicles, kits, novelty toys and robots. Lots included Sutcliffe boats, a large tinplate clockwork racing car; cars, buses, vans, aircraft and trains from Schuco, Mettoy, Bandai and others. Plus, Triang and Triang Minic pre and post war vehicles, Welso Toys military series, Hong Kong made plastic vehicles, FROG kits and aircraft, and an aviation collection including a large display model of a Jet Stream 31 Air Ambulance. The sale continued with Part 2 of the Crystal Heart collection, a further 213 lots of carded and boxed groups of vehicles from Mattel Hotwheels, Matchbox Superfast, Takara Tomy, Schuco Piccolo modern issues, Corgi, Vanguards and Lledo. The sale also included Farm vehicles, Heavy Haulage, Corgi Classics, Matchbox Models of Yesteryear, Scalextric, Minichamps, Brooklin, and TW Collection (Trevor wright models).
The Specialist sale held on the 9th of July featured six private owner collections plus further Corgi, Dinky and white metal and resin models. The North Yorkshire Collection included Corgi and Dinky TV and Film related models, plus other vehicles and giftsets. The Suffolk Collection featured further TV and Film related Dinky vehicles, plus buses and Schuco models. The Thailand Collection Part 2 and a Private Owner Collection included boxed and unboxed Dinky cars and commercials including French Dinky; plus, Corgi and other manufacturers. Whilst the Essex Collection featured Dinky cars, commercials, buses, military, French Dinky and accessories, plus Gift Sets and Trade packs, Revell and Airfix Kits and the Surrey Collection included groups of Vanguard models; Corgi, including Modern trucks, Whizzwheels, Juniors and TV and Film related, further groups from Majorette, Minichamps, Matchbox Superfast and Superkings and Dinky including Atlas Editions. Further lots included a factory error Dinky 165 Humber Hawk, CIJ, Triang Spot-on, Pathfinder and Milestone plus many more.
The General Toys & Military, Civilian Figures, Equipment & Accessories sale held on the 11th of July started with 200 lots of General Toys. Lots included Corgi, Dinky, Matchbox, Britains, Minichamps, WSI and LLedo; cars, commercials, Construction and Haulage, buses, farm related, Aircraft and TV and Film related, plus Franklin Mint Fire and Rescue vehicles. Other lots included catalogues, Scalextric, vintage computer consoles, electronic, and board games. The sale continued with 186 lots of Civilian Figures, Equipment & Accessories from “The Property of a Lady”. The collection included Britains Figures, Charbens and Timpo Circus series’, Salco Mickey and Minnie figures, Britains, Wend-Al and Timpo Farm series, figures from John Hill & co, Timpo railways series and a number of other series sets. The sale concluded with late entry sets from CB Mignot and Britains modern issues.
The TV And Film related to saleheld on the 26th of June featured carded, boxed, loose and prototype figures, from Star Wars and other TV series. Action figures, film posters, lobby and trading cards, Lego, and collectable vintage toys and games; Transformers, My Little Pony, Action Man, The Bionic Man and Woman; Subbuteo teams, Warhammer books, and Star Wars Master Replicas helmets and collectables. The sale also included 58 lots of Comics and graphic novels, from DC, Marvel and others with gold, silver and bronze age editions. The North West Autographed Memorabilia Collection Part 2 featured 48 lots of signed photographs, press clippings and other items from TV, Film, sports and music stars, including Carrie Fisher, David Bowie, Wham! and many others. The sale concluded with a very special entry, Lot 4532, a Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone signed book, obtained by the vendor whilst being involved in the filming of the first film at Hogsmeade (Goathland, North Yorkshire) in the Autumn of 2001.
