The Model Train sale held on the 27th of September featured OO Gauge British Outline including ex shop stock from Hornby (China) and Bachmann, plus other locomotives, coaches and wagons from Heljan, Dapol, Lima and Airfix; HO USA & Continental Outline from Roco, Marklin and Liliput; N Gauge from Dapol and Graham Farish, plus Hornby Dublo 2- and 3-rail boxed and unboxed models and accessories. The sale also included Wrenn, Trix/Liliput, OO Gauge Kit and Kitbuilt, O Gauge and Accessories from Hornby, plus others. There were three private owner collections, including two further Japanese/Korean Brass Sunset models; Part 2 of a Single Owner G Gauge Collection; Part 4 of the Lawrence Scale Models OO Gauge Single Owner Collection and The Pontypool Collection featuring O Gauge models from Bassett Lowke and similar, Hornby and Lionel, plus others. The sale also included Gauge 1 & Larger, G Gauge, Meccano & Other Constructional Toys, Live Steam, Catalogues, Books, Magazines, and our usual good selection of General Trains.

Fulgurex/Aster Gauge 1 factory built 2-4-0 Loco and Tender LNWR black Jumbo "Hardwick" No.790, Live Steam. This is a factory built model and stamped to the underside No.209 of 220 produced. Un-steamed in Near Mint to Mint condition with tools, instruction books, display track and other items. An exceptional item.

Wrenn W2303 4-6-2 LMS Wartime black Streamlined Princess Coronation Class No.6237 "City of Bristol" with instruction booklet and instruction flyer sheet. This is one of the locomotives assembled in the Dapol factory after the acquisition on the Wrenn Company, condition Mint in reproduction box.

Marklin Convertible Live Steam Engine, horizontal/upright stationary engine. Can be used as a 4-wheel Tractor. Brass boiler (old solder repairs to front/rear lower sections), safety valve, steam whistle, single cylinder, governor, solid 7cm flywheel with groove, detachable chimney, chain drive to rear wheel, chain steering and other controls and levers. Rear wheels are replaced, additional bracket to the rear top supporting control levers. All mounted on a wooden base measuring 28 x 15cm approx, Good Plus. The lot includes a fitted wooden case with hinged lid incorporating funnel, oil can, liquid container, tools and a small tin with spare parts all neatly fitted into the box lid. The convertible steam engine has been in the same family since the 1920's.

Bassett-Lowke or similar 4-6-2 Loco and Tender BR blue Duchess Class "Duchess of Norfolk" No.46226, 3-rail electric. Built in the style of Bassett-Lowke but with finer scale wheels, mech fitted with a 3-rail spoon style pick-up. Bassett-Lowke transfer to the underside. "Duchess of Norfolk" nameplate to boiler side, running number 46226 to cab side and British Railways transfer to tender side. Good Plus to Excellent.
