The General Toy and Tinplate sale held on the 21st of September featured over 290 lots general toys, including Corgi, Dinky, Matchbox, Lledo, Oxford Diecast, UT Models and Solido. Plus, Atlas Editions, Franklin Mint, Britains and Del Prado. Further items included Trains, Scalextric, Games, Jigsaws, books and Christmas decorations. Tinplate and Plastic lots included Sutcliffe, Hornby and Triang boats; battery operated, clockwork and friction drive vehicles, tinplate canons and guns, tanks and military vehicles, Meccano aircraft, space and novelty toys.
The Specialist sale held on the 16th of September featured The Roanka Yesteryear Collection, 159 lots of Matchbox Models of Yesteryear, including Giftware sets, Colour trial models, code 2 and 3 issues, Fire engine series, Matchbox collectables, and harder to find issues. Plus, Matchbox The Dinky Collection, The Perfect Toy MICA re-issues, plus books ephemera and pin badges. Further items in the sale included rare and interesting Matchbox models, further MICA re-issues, Fire Engine series and collectables, plus Code 2 and Trade Packs. The sale also included Corgi Original Omnibus, EFE, Corgi Classics, including Heavy Haulage; tankers, lorries, road and sports cars, commercial vehicles, buses and coaches and ex-shop stock, plus Danbury Mint.
The Specialist sale held on the 15th of September featured five private owner collections plus further items including Corgi Juniors Gift Sets and Trade packs, Dinky Trade Packs, military vehicles and aircraft; tractors and farm related vehicles plus Solido, Tekno, Britains and many others. The Hampshire Collection, and The Suffolk Dinky Toy Collection both included Dinky pre-war sets, plus pre and post war military models. The East Yorkshire Land Rover Collection featured Corgi and Matchbox models, and The West Yorkshire Collection included Brooklin, Durham Classics ATC and similar. The South Yorkshire Collection featured further Dinky, French Dinky and Corgi models, including cars, coaches, trucks, tankers and wagons.
The Model Train Auction held on Friday 20th August 2021 at the Vectis Thornaby Auction Rooms comprised over 660 lots of Hornby Dublo, 2 and 3 Rail, Wrenn, Ace, Broadway, Bachmann and Mainline plus accessories. The sale also include general trains, kit-built items, live steam, a large quantity of ex-shop stock, pictures and other constructional toys.
The Somerset Farming Collection was started because of the vendors farming background. One evening while country dancing a farmer friend invited him to his home for supper and to see his collection of Farming, Fire & Police Toys, this was the inspiration for the start of his journey into the collecting world. The collection featured 280 lots of tractors, trailers, ploughs and other farming equipment, plus vans, accessories and gift sets. There were a wide range of manufacturers, some of which included, Corgi, Dinky, Britains, Chad Valley, Tekno, Ertl and Marklin.
