3.5" Live Steam 4-8-2 South African Railways (SAR) Class 23 Steam Locomotive No. 2552

Lot 465 has attracted a lot of attention so far and rightly so, built in 1985 it belonged to famous South African and UK Radio/TV presenter " John Grant Silver", built by Herbert Clarkson (H Clarkson and Son of York) which was started in 1979 and finished in 1985. Also included are two transport boxes designed to carry this Locomotive, invoices for work done and various pictures and drawing plans and an an out of date boiler certificate as the Loco has been previously fired and used
