3.5" Live Steam 4-8-2 South African Railways (SAR) Class 23 Steam Locomotive No. 2552. Built to a high standard. Comes with an out of date boiler certificate and has been previously fired and used. Built in 1985. Belonged to a famous South African Radio/TV presenter who later moved over to the UK named " John Grant Silver". This Loco was built by Herbert Clarkson (H Clarkson and Son of York) which was started in 1979 and finished in 1985. Also included are two transport boxes designed to carry this Locomotive, invoices for work done and various pictures and drawing plans. Dimensions of Locomotive (Approx) H: 33cm L: 230cm W: 28cm. Dimensions of Stand H: 83cm, L: 236cm W: 37cm. The condition is generally good to excellent (it requires minor repairs).
