Vectis Unveil Exciting New Plans
Specialist Auctioneers Vectis have this week announced exciting new developments to be rolled out in 2023.
The company held over 84 dedicated toy and collectable auctions across 2022, offering over 60,000 lots throughout the year. In the same year, viewers were given a glimpse of the inner workings of the auction house from the BBC produced TV Series ?Scouting for Toys?. Strong exponents of technical innovations, the company was one of the first adopters of a live online auction service, developing a bespoke platform in as early as 2003 to enable bidders to buy without the necessity to be physically in the room. This is a something now that most auction buyers take for granted.
Always looking at new approaches, Vectis are to partner with the dynamic digital auction house and marketplace The Saleroom.com. This collaboration enables existing The Saleroom customers to bid from one portal whilst providing them the opportunity to be able to access all of Vectis auction sales. Vectis regularly hit the headlines with unrivalled collections such as the recent Wolfie Ginsburg Matchbox and Rob Van Der Hoort Dinky Collections each realising over ?250,000 plus lots such as the set of three Palitoy / Kenner Star Wars Prototype figures selling for ?76,800 (incl. Buyers premium).
January 2023 will see all seven sales scheduled on The Saleroom covering Diecast, Model Trains, Military and Civilian Figures, Matchbox, TV & Film and a General Toy sale.
The second exciting prospect sees Vectis demonstrating its strength in vibrant markets by adding three new departments ? Vinyl Records, Comic Books and Graphic Novels and Books. Previous auctions have successfully sold lots from these genres on a small scale but March 30th will see the first dedicated Vinyl Record and Associated Items Sale.
