As a forty-something year old woman, there are many toys that go through our auction rooms that I remember from my childhood, but they almost always seem to be my brothers? toys, Star Wars figures, Transformers, He-man to name a few. However, there is a collection coming up in the 5th of October Dolls and Teddy Bear sale that had me nostalgic for my own forgotten toys.

The London Teenage Fashion Doll Collection includes a large array of dolls and clothing, that range from Pippa and Sindy to Barbie and Ken, with Flower Fairies, Amanda Jane, Disney and Jem dolls between. The collection of over 140 lots will sure to have women of a certain age reminiscing about their favourite childhood toy. For me, although Sindy was in my childhood, it?s the early Barbie figures which hold the fondest memories. Barbie Dream Glow Vintage doll from 1985, was definitely my favourite, followed by Loving You Barbie from 1983, their dresses iconic in the Barbie range. Whilst looking through the ranges I also spotted My First Barbie from 1984, although her dress is not as iconic, as soon as I saw her, I remembered her fondly. I am sure others in the range will hold just as many memories for different buyers.  Which was your favourite?
