The Joe and Urs Ayres Collection which held on the 30th of June is a private owner collection of over 600 Lots of Matchbox Regular Wheel models. The collection included road and racing cars, trucks and haulage, tractors, motorcycles, removals vans, constructions vehicles, buses and coaches, caravans’, boats, military and many more. They included many rare and hard to find issues with different colour and wheel variations.

 

Matchbox Regular Wheels 46a Morris Minor 1000 - tan body, silver trim, metal wheels with crimped axles - Near Mint (couple of very minor marks) still a beautiful example of a RARE hard to find issue in a generally Excellent type B2 Moko box.

Matchbox Regular Wheels 45a Vauxhall Victor - red body, silver trim, without dashboard cross brace, matt black base, metal wheels with crimped axles - Excellent Plus a beautiful outstanding example in a generally Good Plus to Excellent type B2 Moko box.

Matchbox Regular Wheels 11a ERF Tanker - green body, gold trim - Excellent Plus (couple of very minor marks to rear bumper) still a beautiful example of a RARE issue to find in a Good Plus to Excellent type B1 Moko box.

Matchbox Regular Wheels 1a Aveling Barford Diesel Road Roller - dark green, gold trim to front and side engine covers, tan figure driver, red metal wheels - Good Plus to Excellent (very small chips around wheel edges) in an Excellent type A Moko script box.

Matchbox Regular Wheels 17a Bedford Removals Van "Matchbox Removals Service" - maroon, silver trim, metal wheels with crimped axles - Excellent Plus a beautiful example in a Good Plus type B1 Moko box.

Matchbox Regular Wheels 46b Guy "Beales - Bealesons" Removal Van - Promotional Issue - tan body without silver trim, black base and fine tread plastic wheels - Near Mint (does have very slight wear to one side decal) still a beautiful example in a Good Plus correct plain white box with "It's a Pleasure" flash - see photo.

Matchbox Regular Wheels 55b Ford Fairlane "Police" Car - metallic blue, red roof light, knobbly grey plastic wheels - Excellent Plus (very minor wear to decals) in a generally Excellent type D colour picture box - see photo.

Matchbox Regular Wheels 69b Hatra Tractor Shovel - yellow, red plastic hubs with black tyres - Near Mint (couple of small marks on arm base) - still a beautiful example of a RARE hard to find model in a Near Mint type E colour picture box.

Matchbox Moko "Pop-Pop" Series Motor Scooter - drab green, black wheels - Excellent with red, blue and blonde hair rider - which is Good Plus (some small loss of paint in areas) in a generally Good Plus carded picture box - nice bright example.
