Teddy Bear Making Supplies and Craft Materials - 5th October

In the Vectis Doll & Bear Auction on Tuesday 5^th October is a large collection of ex shop stock Teddy Bear Making and Craft Making Materials, Patterns and Accessories.

Over 100 lots of ex shop stock mohair, viscose, cotton crushed velvet, rayon, wool, fur fabric and alpaca for creating teddy bears and animals. Additionally, there are glass eyes in black, amber, mauve, yellow, blue, smoke, realistic (buzzard eyes), brown painted back and shoe-button. Plastic (safety) eyes are in abundance in black and amber with plastic or metal backs. Joints are available in cotterpin, nut & bolt, plastic (white and black) and wobble. For the more adventurous there are lock-line (armature) internal systems and Yes/No mechanisms which can also be used for restoration and repair.

There is a wealth of choice for paw pad materials in pure wool felt, leather, ultrasuede (Alcantara), suedette, double sided suede and craft felt.

As most teddy bear makers tend to stick to certain sizes, we are offering joints and eye lots in larger sizes and also lots of smaller eyes and joints to cater for all. Similarly, we have lots which contain mixed eyes colours to provide bears on a smaller scale or restorers a better offering.

Also, for miniature bears makers there is a large quantity of miniature bear making velvets, some lots are in 20cm x 20cm squares in a huge variety of colours and sizes through to lots containing whole rolls.

If you have never made a teddy bear before then this sale contains everything you need ? hundreds of patterns, beginners (children?s) kits in fur fabric through to mohair more advanced ones. Also, there are superb teddy bear making books and magazines to help you through the process.

If you like dressing your teddy bears or dolls then the dressmaking fabrics in the sale will be of interest as will the large quantity of craft materials, tools and general craft books. Sewing threads, scissors, pliers, tap measures, bradawls, needles and pins are on offer too.

There is a huge quantity of environmentally friendly and polyester fillings (pallet loads) for serious bear makers or trade sellers.

This sale will offer something for dealers, makers, artists and crafts people.
