The Specialist and tinplate toy sale held on the 13th of May featured over 100 lots of Specialist Diecast including TV and film related, Corgi models, including 1/50th scale haulage, and a Saab model collection from Rob Eddie Models, Somerville, Neo, Minichamps and others. The sale also featured over 180 lots of Tinplate & Plastic, with a fantastic Meccano Constructor car collection of No.1 and No.2 pre and post war models, parts and accessories, presentation sets and empty boxes. Further items included Victory Industries, Triang Minic, Bandai, Schuco, Scalex, space and robot toys and playsets. There were 51 lots of 1/18th Scale Models from CMC, Tecnomodel, BBR and others, and further lots included collectors’ books and catalogues, Matchbox, Lledo, EFE, Dinky, Tekno, Hasbro pre-production prototype models including unreleased models, Lego, Greenlight collectables, Protar, Bandai and other unbuilt kits, plus much more.


Meccano No.2 Constructor Car - scarce pre-war clockwork Racing Car - red, done as a boat tail version, comes with spare wheel cover to rear - finished in red with powder blue cycle wings and driver figure, no key but the motor is in working order with brake, some wear to the baseplates. This model has been fitted with electric head-lamps and associated wiring together with a period battery (untested) - otherwise a Good Plus example for display.

Meccano No.1 Constructor Car - scarce boxed example circa 1930's, early version with matching dished tinplate wheel hubs, finished in mid green with yellow hood and cycle wings, red interior seating, the motor is in working order and comes with a correct male key - Excellent Plus bright example which still retains a Fair card box.

Meccano Constructor Car No.2 - pre-war pressed steel clockwork car is mid green, scarce variation fitted with rounded panel to rear end, matching green wheels with spare tyre to drivers side, cream mudguard type wings, baseplates intact, not fitted with a key but the motor is in working order although may require a little lubrication and the model does come with the driver figure - Good to Good Plus.

"Dinky Toys" dealers shop display cabinet - wood and glass construction - rarer version with front sliding glass doors, contains metal supports and with 4 x internal glass shelves, approx dimensions 30"/76cm wide, 24"/61cm high and 8/20cm deep - generally Excellent with lighter coloured wood effect and strong "Dinky Toys" logo. PLEASE NOTE - COLLECTION ONLY.

Triang Minic 1/20th scale Ford Zephyr - electric battery operated plastic model from the late 1950's, scarce colour variation in cream with bright plated parts and a white interior, would benefit from more detailed cleaning but otherwise generally Good Plus to Excellent with registration number LBL 4242 (Triang's factory phone number) and comes in a Good illustrated box with inner card display base and "Triang Minic" 1/20th scale electric models 4-sided colour catalogue depicting contemporary range.

CMC M-095 1/18th scale Ferrari 312P Spyder - red, racing number 25 - Sebring 1969 - Mario Andretti/Chris Amon - Near Mint with inner packing, information card and numbered certificate in an Excellent outer card box.

CMC M1-54 1/18th scale Ferrari 250 GTO 1962 - red, blue/silver interior, spoked wire wheels - Excellent would benefit from very light detailed cleaning with inner polystyrene packing only (no outer card box).

Top Marques 1/12th scale Ferrari 250 GT SWB - silver with black interior, spoked wire wheels and chrome trim, mounted on plinth (no other packaging) - water effected display model, a few light marks to body may improve with cleaning/polishing.

Pocher (Italy) K/76 1/8th scale Bugatti type 50T 1933 top quality unbuilt metal and plastic construction kit, majority of parts are in sealed plastic bags, includes 2 carded pieces with numbers, instruction booklet - all appear Excellent to Near Mint but not checked for completeness in a Fair lift off lid box.

Hot Wheels a mixed group to include Batman Batmobile, Fast & Furious 67 Ford Mustang - metallic green with white body stripes, Bone Shaker, Toyota Off-road Track, 62 Corvette - metallic blue with white body stripes, Treasure Hunts 59 Chevy Delivery - metallic blue with orange flames plus others - generally Mint in Good to Near Mint packaging.
