SPECIALIST SALE - Wednesday 15th September 2021 HIGHLIGHTS
The Specialist sale held on the 15th of September
featured five private owner collections plus further items including Corgi
Juniors Gift Sets and Trade packs, Dinky Trade Packs, military vehicles and
aircraft; tractors and farm related vehicles plus Solido, Tekno, Britains and
many others. The Hampshire Collection,
and The Suffolk Dinky Toy Collection both included Dinky pre-war sets, plus pre
and post war military models. The East Yorkshire Land Rover Collection featured
Corgi and Matchbox models, and The West Yorkshire Collection included Brooklin,
Durham Classics ATC and similar. The South Yorkshire Collection featured
further Dinky, French Dinky and Corgi models, including cars, coaches, trucks,
tankers and wagons.
Dinky 44 Pre-war Set "AA" containing Motorcycle Patrol - yellow, black, white solid wheels, tinplate hut, 2 x figures - conditions are generally Good Plus to Excellent lovely bright examples in a generally Good to Good Plus blue lift off lid box (does have some scuffs to edges), inner pictorial stand is Excellent still a nice bright example.

Dinky Pre-war 156 "Mechanised Army" Set - this RARE issue contains 151a Medium Tank; 151 Transport Wagon; 151c Cooker Trailer; 151d Water Tank Trailer; 152a Light Tank; 152b Reconnaissance Car; 152c Austin Seven Car; 161a Searchlight Lorry; 161b Anti-Aircraft Gun; 162a Light Dragon and 162c Quick Firing Field Gun - all vehicles are finished in green with smooth hubs, black wheels and metal tracks - overall condition is generally Good to Good Plus still a lovely bright example, carded base and box is generally Good, lift off lid is Fair (does have some stains) - still a bright example of a hard to find set.

Dinky Pre-war 22c Motor Truck - finished in gloss green, smooth hubs - overall condition is generally Good (does have some fatigue to hubs) - this would have probably been part of a trade pack with various other colours - extremely RARE and hard to find issue.

Dinky 28 Series (Type 3) Van - military green including ridged hubs - this South African issue is generally Good Plus still a lovely bright example of a hard to find issue.

Dinky 274 Mini "Joseph Mason Paints" Van - maroon (dark red), plastic roof sign and opening rear doors, chrome spun hubs, silver trim - this promotional issue is generally Good Plus - without leaflet, in a generally Fair to Good (complete) correct issue carded box.

Dinky 505 Foden (1st Type) Flat Truck with chains - green, mid-green ridged hubs with black treaded tyres, light green side flashes, silver trim, metal tow hook - Good - still a bright example that displays well in a Fair blue lift off lid box with paper label.

Dinky 514 Guy (1st Type) "Weetabix" Van - yellow including Supertoy hubs with smooth tyres, silver trim - Good Plus to Excellent (couple of small marks around rear doors) - please note one rear door is slightly lighter shade, this is not unusual just assembled at different times in the factory, comes in a generally Fair to Good blue lift off lid box with paper label.

Dinky 171 Hudson Commodore Sedan - low-line two-tone grey, mid-blue including ridged hubs with black treaded tyres, silver trim - Excellent (couple of very small marks on protruding edges) in a Good yellow and red carded picture box with correct colour spot (very small tear to one end flap corner).

Dinky 387 pre-production late issue Convoy Series "Pickfords" Removals Truck - red cab and chassis, blue back, black plastic base and grille, Speedwheels - model was never put into production, this is a final run example before production would have proceeded - see photo.

Hot Wheels (Mattel) - "Rrrumblers" Gift Set to include Centurion; Rip Code; Bone Shaker; Preying Menace and Talor - conditions appear to be generally Near Mint to Mint all come complete with guide lines - plastic tray is Near Mint outer window box is Excellent Plus (does have some marks to end flaps where tape has been removed) - also comes with outer transit brown plain sleeve - see photo superb example.

Dinky 505 Foden (1st Type) Flat Truck with chains - maroon cab, chassis and back, maroon ridged hubs with black treaded tyres (spare wheel is grey treaded tyre), tow hook, silver trim and flash - generally Good with chips to cab roof and edges, unboxed - still a rare model.
