The Specialist sale held on the 15th of January started with 419 lots from The Cornish Collection. Lots included boxed and unboxed Corgi vehicles, including road and racing cars, commercials, emergency vehicles, buses and TV and Film; Plus, Matchbox Regular wheels vans, trucks, cars and counter displays. This was followed by 162 lots from The Swiss Collection, which included, boxed and unboxed Dinky, French Dinky, JRD trucks, Metosul, Lion Cars, Joal, Diapet, Brooklin, Minichamps, Solido, Paya (Spanish) tinplate and Matchbox Superfast. The sale concluded with further models from Dinky, Corgi, Britains, Meccano and many more.

 

Corgi 267 "Batman" Batmobile - RARE MATT BLACK finish, blue tinted windows with "Batman and Robin" figures, red Bat hubs, grey plastic aerial - Near Mint a superb example, inner pictorial stand is Excellent Plus, outer blue and yellow carded picture box is Near Mint, comes with correct inner packing piece and ring - also comes accompanied with separate instruction leaflet plus sealed instruction pack containing folded leaflet, lapel badge and Missiles attached to sprue - also accompanied with carded tag for tinplate stand - a superb example of a hard to find issue - see photo.

Corgi 497 "The Man From UNCLE" Thrushbuster - off white (pale cream) body, cast lamps, RARE spun hubs - Near Mint including inner pictorial stand with Waverley ring, correct inner packing piece and collectors club folded leaflet, outer blue and yellow carded picture box is Near Mint a beautiful example of an extremely hard to find variation.

Corgi 222 Renault Floride - green body (early issue without interior), silver trim, flat spun hubs - Excellent Plus a superb example in a Near Mint blue and yellow carded picture box, comes with rare and correct "USA & Canada" blue and white instruction leaflet/collectors leaflet - see photo.

Corgi 419 Ford Zephyr Motorway Patrol Car "Politie" EXPORT Issue - white body, red interior, flat spun hubs, thin blue roof light, plastic aerial - Near Mint (couple of minor marks) in a Near Mint blue and yellow carded picture box (with "Politie" stamp to end) with inner packing piece and collectors club folded leaflet - superb example.

Corgi 404 Bedford Dormobile Personnel Carrier - two-tone blue, yellow, silver trim, flat spun hubs - Near Mint still an outstanding example in an Excellent Plus blue and yellow carded picture box with collectors club folded leaflet.

ZAX Toys (Italy) large wooden Delivery Van with metal doors and fitting, includes double opening doors to each side of van body, the van is painted yellow with grey roof and wheels and is finished in "Gondrand Trasporti" livery, the opening doors at each side are fitted with a clasp and there is a number plate transfer to the rear, light wear particularly to roof but otherwise a Good Plus scarce example, 12"/31cm long.

Meccano (France) Constructor Car 1 - made up model is powder blue, including wheel hubs, and spare rear body. Fitted with a cream hardtop and cycle type wings together with cream accessories in box, with spanner and other loose items plus an instruction book with French text, the rubber tyres are starting to deteriorate but otherwise the body is Excellent Plus and comes in a Fair to Good card box, (sellotape repairs to corners of lid).
