The Specialist Sale held on the 13th of March featured five private owner collections. The first included Dinky aircraft, military and emergency vehicles plus trucks, Corgi TV & film related, helicopters and Matchbox superfast. The Colin Collin's Collection featured over 280 lots of Corgi racing, road, sports and rally cars; buses, emergency vehicles and giftsets, Corgi Juniors James Bond and TV vehicles, plus Dinky cars, kits and shop displays, Solido groups and gift sets, plus models from Siku, Mebetoys, Joel, Schuco and many others. The Thailand Dinky Toy Collection featured 107 lots of cars, trucks, tankers and French Dinky; and The Spanish Dinky Toy Collection included cars, buses, farm, trucks, military and French Dinky including a “Coffret Cadeau Tourisme” set. The Tynemouth Collection included Dinky Military, Corgi Farm, Chipperfield’s Circus vehicles, tankers, trucks and gift sets. Further items in the sale included White Metal & Resin models from TW Collection (Trevor Wright Models), Brooklin and Lansdowne, Dinky Toys and Corgi instruction packs, and collectors club leaflets.

 

Corgi GS21 "Superman" 3-piece Gift Set to include "City of Metropolis" - Police Car; "Daily Planet" Helicopter and Supermobile - conditions are generally Mint with accessories attached to sprue, inner plastic tray is Excellent (does have a couple of very small puncture holes) still displays superbly in a Excellent Plus striped window box - see photo.

Dinky plastic Illuminated Shop Display Sign (approximately 330cm x 240cm x 14cm) - untested - overall condition is Excellent Plus a beautiful example - see photo.

Dinky 36f 4-seater Sports Car - green body, black chassis and ridged hubs with smooth tyres, figure driver - overall condition is generally Excellent (couple of small chips on top edges) - usual slight discolouration to bare metal parts - still a bright example see photo.

Dinky 30f "Ambulance" Trade Pack containing 6 examples - finished in cream, black chassis and ridged hubs with smooth tyres, red cross to sides - some have light and deep cream colour shades - conditions are generally Excellent to Near Mint (most have usual slight discolouration to bare metal parts) in a Fair buff lift off lid trade box with yellow label to end - see photo.

Dinky 157 Jaguar XK120 Coupe - yellow body, mid-yellow ridged hubs with black smooth tyres, silver trim - Near Mint a beautiful example in a Good yellow and red carded picture box with correct clear colour spot - see photo.

Dinky 230 Talbot Lago Racing Car - finished in mid-blue, white figure driver, yellow racing number 4 to rear sides, yellow plastic hubs with grey treaded tyres - overall condition is generally Excellent (couple of small marks around racing numbers) still a beautiful example of a harder issue to find in a generally Good (slightly grubby) red and yellow carded picture box (does have a clear label attached to end flap and side) - see photo.

French Dinky 24v Buick Roadmaster - coral body, black roof, silver trim and side flashes, chrome convex hubs with white smooth tyres - Excellent Plus a beautiful example in a Good to Good Plus yellow and red carded picture box (does have some clear tape attached to side and end flap).

French Dinky 24-58 "Coffret Cadeau Tourisme" - this set includes 5 models (1) Plymouth Belvedere - two-tone grey, orange, silver trim, chrome convex hubs with white smooth tyres; (2) Simca Versailles - pale blue, off white roof silver trim, chrome convex hubs with white smooth tyres; (3) Renault Dauphine - reddish-brown, silver trim, chrome convex hubs with black tyres; (4) Peugeot 403 - blue, silver trim, chrome convex hubs with white smooth tyres and (5) Citroen DS19 - yellow body, grey roof, silver trim, with windows, chrome convex hubs with white smooth tyres - conditions are generally Good to Excellent Plus (could be better if slight time spent in cleaning) in a generally Good carded base with inner tray, lift off lid is Fair to Good - still displays well see photo.

Dinky 36a Armstrong Siddeley Saloon - finished in teal blue body, black chassis and ridged hubs with smooth tyres - overall condition is Excellent Plus a superb example (usual slight discolouration to bare metal parts) still a lovely bright example of a harder issue to find - see photo.

Corgi 509 Porsche Targa 911 S Police Car "Polizei" - white body, red doors, bonnet and boot, black interior and roof panel, blue roof light, red-spot wheels - Excellent Plus (slight discolouration to labels) in a generally Excellent orange and yellow window box (has been professionally re-cellophaned at some time).
