 The Specialist sale held on the 10th of August featured no fewer than nine private owner collections. The Surrey Collection included Corgi cars, TV and Film related vehicles, Corgi Rockets and Juniors, Dinky and Hot Wheels. The Essex Collection included further boxed and unboxed Corgi models, plus Gift Sets and Whizzwheels. Additional Corgi and Dinky models plus Tekno, Solido, French Dinky and white metal and resin models could be found in The West Yorkshire Collection, The British Columbia Collection, and The Northumbrian Collection. The Military Collection featured French Dinky military vehicles; The Robert Woodside Collection included Dinky Trucks, cars, Corgi, Triang and Spot-On, and The Cornish Collection featured Matchbox King size, Major Packs, Accessory Packs, Gift Sets and Regular Wheels. Further lots included a Private Owner Collection of boxed Rio models, Matchbox Yesteryear and Brumm. Also in the sale were trucks and construction vehicles, Brooklin Models, Automec, and further Corgi and Dinky.

 

Hot Wheels (Mattel) - Redline - group to include Mighty Maverick - metallic green, white stripe (broken spoiler) - with tinplate badge; Light My Fire - metallic red, racing number 6; Nitty Gritty Kitty - metallic red, white stripe, racing number 9; King Kuda - metallic red, white rear flash, racing number 3 and Custom Corvette - drab green - conditions are generally Fair to Good Plus still display well - see photo.

Dinky 353 "UFO" Shado 2 Mobile - green body, off white interior, large brown rollers with grey rubber tracks - comes with yellow and red missile - overall condition is generally Near Mint a beautiful example in a Good Plus carded picture box (some small tears to end flaps) with correct inner packing piece and instruction leaflet.

Corgi GS37 Gift Set "Lotus Racing Team" to include Lotus Climax Racing Car - green, spun hubs, racing number 1, figure driver; Lotus Elan Coupe - yellow, green hood and stripes, off white interior, chrome detachable chassis with spun hubs; Lotus Elan S2 - green, yellow stripes, red interior, chrome detachable chassis with spun hubs, Volkswagen Breakdown Van - white body, lemon interior, red plastics, spun hubs, "Racing Club" side labels; Trailer - red with detachable chassis - also comes accompanied with cones in bag, racing number 7 and racing number 2 unapplied label sheets plus figure driver - conditions are generally Near Mint to Mint, polystyrene tray is Near Mint, outer blue and yellow window box is generally Good Plus (couple of small scuffs to edges), comes with correct "Mr Retailer" card and instruction/collectors club folded leaflet - a beautiful example.

Corgi GS40 Gift Set - "The Avengers" to include (1) "John Steed's" Vintage Bentley - red, black, wire wheels with "John Steed" figure and 3 x original umbrellas; (2) "Emma Peel's" Lotus Elan S2 - white body, black interior, spun hubs with "Emma Peel" figure - conditions are generally Excellent Plus to Near Mint, inner pictorial stand is Near Mint, outer carded picture box is Excellent (although does have a tear to one side of label) - complete with correct inner pacing piece - see photo.

Corgi 480 Chevrolet Impala "Taxi" Cab - two-tone yellow, red including interior with figure driver, chrome trim and side flashes, spun hubs, grey plastic aerial, roof box - Excellent Plus in a generally Good Plus to Excellent blue and yellow carded picture box (does have label attached to one end flap) with inner packing piece and collectors club folded leaflet - see photo.

Corgi 411 Smith's Karrier Bantam "Lucozade" Van - pale yellow, silver trim, grey plastic opening side door, flat spun hubs - Excellent Plus a lovely bright example in a Good Plus to Excellent blue and yellow carded picture box (couple of small scuffs on edges) with collectors club folded leaflet.

Corgi 246 Chrysler Imperial - Kingfisher blue, pale blue interior with 2 x figures, chrome trim, cast hubs, with gold trolley and bag - Near Mint a beautiful example of a harder colour variation to find in an Excellent blue and yellow carded picture box (does have very small pencil price mark to one side) with collectors club folded leaflet.

French Dinky 823 GMC Water Tanker - drab green including concave hubs and Tanker with filler caps, black plastic canopy - overall condition is generally Near Mint (couple of very minor marks to front), inner carded tray is Near Mint, outer carded picture box is Good Plus to Excellent (some small pen marks to end flap) - comes accompanied road sign and folded leaflet - see photo.

Matchbox Regular Wheels 15b Super Atlantic Tractor - orange, silver trim, knobbly grey plastic wheels with rounded axles - Fair to Good still a bright unboxed example of a harder to find issue.

Corgi Juniors Whizzwheels 3020 Gift Set "Club Racing" - includes scarce (unlisted colour) Ford Capri - light blue, white base (does have broken tow hook); Austin Healey Sprite - red; Land Rover "Wrecker Truck" - metallic purple; Morgan - red; Ford Escort Mark I - steel blue; Ferrari 512S - maroon and Mini Cooper - metallic purple - conditions are generally Near Mint to Mint, apart from Ford Capri which is Good Plus to Excellent (some small chips around front and rear edges), inner plastic tray is Excellent complete with figures and cones in bags, outer blue and yellow window box is Good (slightly grubby around edges) - see photo.
