The Specialist sale to be held on the 22nd of October starts with The Californian Collection, a nice selection of Dinky vehicles, Trade packs, Sets and accessories, plus catalogues and promotional ephemera, Pre-War, French Dinky and rare variations. The sale continues with a Dinky Ex-Shop Stock Collection, 18 lots of Dinky aircraft, ships, military and space vehicles. Plus, The Matchbox Code 2 Collection, featuring 47 lots of Matchbox Models of Yesteryear mixed code 2 groups, and a Private Owner Collection includes road, racing, rally cars and Dioramas from manufacturers such as Vanguards, Minichamps, Spark (Minimax), Remember Models, SMTS Model, Schuco and many others. Further items include Dinky Pre-War, cars, commercials, emergency vehicles and military; Corgi, Triang Spot-On, Matchbox Superfast, and Regular Wheels, Minichamps, Revell, plus decal sheets, groups of White Metal parts and advertising literature.

 

Dinky Pre-war (Type 1) 28a Delivery Van "Hornby Trains British & Guaranteed" - yellow body - overall condition is Fair (still a very nice bright casting) - extremely RARE, one of the hardest of the 28 Series Vans to find.

Matchbox Superfast 53a Ford Zodiac "New" Type G Box with incorrect spelling to both end flaps "Ford Zodiak" - generally Excellent Plus with a couple of very light creases - comes with metallic green model with unpainted base, narrow 5-spoke wheels and ivory interior which is generally Good (small chip to wheelarch, bonnet not flush).

Corgi 1956/7 3D carded Display Stand with "Corgi Toys" logo to top and "New" in various languages around sides - overall condition is generally Excellent (currently flat) - superb example see photo.

Dinky Pre-war 28k (Type 1) Delivery Van "Marsh's Sausages" - green, metallic purple washed wheels - overall condition is generally Good (does have loss of paint to all edges and wheelarches) still a bright example of an early issue Dinky - see photo.

Dinky 39e Chrysler Sedan RARE - two-tone green, ridged hubs (Export Issue) - overall condition is Good Plus to Excellent (does have some chips to wings and some very small paint touch-ins) - still a beautiful example that displays well of a hard to find model.

Matchbox Regular Wheels 23c Bluebird Dauphine Caravan - metallic lime green body and base with thin window pillars, type A tow bar, 20-tread grey plastic wheels with rounded axles - Excellent Plus (does have some very minor wear to rear decal) in generally Near Mint type B5 Moko box.

Matchbox Superfast 34c Chevy Pro Stocker rare Empty Box for a Pre-production Colour Trial model - showing correct illustration, showing white body with green tampo and racing number 88 (model never released in these colours - standard production model with blue tampo and racing number 34) - small tears to two corners, a few light creases and edge wear overall Good Plus.

Matchbox a group of original decals to include 5d "Baron of Beef" Routemaster Bus; 21b Bedford Luxury Coach "London to Glasgow"; 29c Fire Pumper Truck "Denver"; various racing car decals, racing numbers; King Size K8 Car Transporter, various "Laing" & "Taylor Woodrow" decals; Matchbox Models of Yesteryear Y5 Bentley Union Jack plus many others - all generally Excellent.
