The Model Train sale held on the 25th of March started with OO Gauge British Outline from Mainline Railways, Hornby and Bachmann, including diesel and steam locomotives, passenger coaches, goods wagons and Train sets. Further items included HO & USA Continental Outline, N Gauge and Narrow Gauge; Plus Hornby Dublo 2 & 3-rail, Hornby Acho, Triang Railways and Triang TT. The sale also included Wrenn, Trix, On30 Narrow Gauge, Brass and Kit/Kitbuilt OO/HO Gauge and Part 2 of The Paul Brookes Collection of OO & O Gauge. The sale concluded with Meccano & Other Constructional Toys, Live Steam, Gauge 1 & Larger; Hornby and other, Kit/Kitbuilt and modern O Gauge; Pictures & Prints, Books, Magazines & Catalogues, and our usual good selection of General Trains.

Hornby Dublo 3-rail Loco and Rolling Stock comprising EDL7 0-6-2 GWR green Tank Loco No.6699, paint rubs to both side tanks and small paint loss to smokebox door along with damage to gold decal on bunker rear, some paint to front buffer beam, condition Fair in Poor to Fair pre-war pale blue box dated 9/38 with some tape repair to lid, also in lot pre-war NE Highsided Coal Wagon with coal load, rusting to both couplings but no signs of fatigue to buffers and chassis, condition Fair. Bing Gauge 1 0-4-4 Tank Loco LSWR (London South Western Railway) lined green Class M7 No.109, clockwork. Some expert repainting particularly to the boiler front chassis and rear bunker, cab roof and underside of the locomotive body. Of good visual appearance, would benefit from a light clean otherwise generally Good to Good Plus.

Marklin Gauge 1 4-6-0 Loco and Tender LNWR lined black Experimental Class No.66, clockwork. Loco is overall Excellent and lined LNER black with gold nameplate over splashers, running number 66 to cab side.

Marklin Gauge 1 Signal Gantry with 4-post Signals. This gantry sits on 4 legs detachable via butterfly type screws to the underside of the walkway, overall finished in blue with brown feet and printed walkway area. 4 detachable signals 2 x single arm and 2 x double arm all with oil lamps, overall Excellent.

Kitbuilt Gauge 1 4-2-2 Loco and Tender Midland maroon Single No.640, 2-rail finescale electric. Professionally built and painted. Overall Excellent to Excellent Plus.

Aster Gauge 1 0-6-0 GWR Pannier Tank No.6752, Live Steam. One of a limited production No.79 of 300 produced, has been fired and would benefit from a light clean, overall Excellent Plus to Near Mint with original box, tools, touch-up paint, gloves and associated items. Was originally purchased from the Sussex Model Centre in March 1997.

Raven Scale O Gauge Kitbuilt 4-6-2 Loco and Tender Southern lined green West Country Class "Tavistock" No.21C111. Locomotive with "Tavistock" nameplate to streamlined sides, running number 21C111 to cab side and Southern lettering to tender sides. Expertly built and painted, good cab detail although the back head is loose. Excellent.

Lawrence Scale Models O Gauge "Deltic" Diesel Locomotive, 2-rail Finescale electric. Professionally built and painted in blue and grey with "Deltic" nameplate to the centre of the Diesel Locomotive body. Overall Excellent to Excellent Plus with Lawrence Scale model plaque to the underside and dated.
