The Model Train sale to be held on the 25th of June started with OO Gauge British Outline from Hornby (China), Bachmann, Lima, Heljan and others, followed by HO Gauge ex-shop stock items from Genesis, Bachmann, Athearn, Atlas, and Broadway Limited Paragon series, plus further HO gauge from Liliput by Bachmann, Marklin, Fleischmann, and Roco. The sale continued with N Gauge, Hornby Dublo, Brass and OO Kits/Kitbuilt. The sale also included Meccano & Other Constructional Toys, Live Steam, G Gauge, Gauge 1 & Larger, Hornby, further and modern O Gauge. There was a Single Owner Collection featuring Hornby O Gauge tank locos, locomotive and Tender, passenger coaches, goods wagon and rolling stock, plus engine sheds, track and accessories, plus further items form Basset Lowke, Leeds, Bing and Marklin. The sale concluded with Books, Magazines & Catalogues, Railwayana, Pictures & Prints and our usual good selection of General Trains.

 

Hornby (China) R3094 (Special Edition) Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Train Pack containing 4-6-2 BR green Britannia Class No.70000 "Britannia", with Royal Train Duties white cab roof, right side front step detached but is in box, 3 x Royal Train Coaches (Queen's Coach, Duke of Edinburgh's Coach and Kitchen/Household Dining Car), conditions are Good Plus to Excellent in Fair picture box, also in lot R4197 "The Royal Train" coach pack containing 2 x Royal Household Mk.3 Coaches and 1 x Royal Household Mk.2 Couchette, conditions are Excellent in generally Excellent boxes and complete with pictured outer sleeve. Hornby Dublo 3-rail L30/3230 Bo-Bo BR green Class 20 Diesel Loco No.D8000 (export) this is a version without buffers made for the Canadian market, hole drilled to front of body for possible fitment of headlamp, otherwise all original, condition Good to Good Plus in generally Good red striped 2-rail box for protection.

2 1/2" Gauge (Gauge 3) 2-6-0 Loco and Tender GWR Outline Loco and Tender bare metal, 2-rail electric. Loco and tender are unpainted and well built in bare metal, will require a little work for painting. Loco fitted with a portescap or similar 2-rail electric motor. A good project for the larger scale modeller.

Station Glass Lamp for "Stone Hall & Lydden Halt". This station lamp is in original condition painted in green with wear and rusting to all metal parts. There is a frosted glass panel to the front for the station name "Stone Hall & Lydden Halt" together with a lower plain glass and clear glass side panels (note one side panel window cracked), lower glass panel missing. The lamp has 4 brackets for securing to a wall. Stone Hall & Lydden Hall in on the Dover Kent Line Canterbury to Dover which was opened in 1861 and closed on the 5th April 1954. Included with this lot is a incomplete part of a station lamp for "Pluckley" and a separate one for "Chartham", both with just the top front parts of the hooded corners remaining. Also included with this lot is a broken frosted glass for another station. All will require some work but an interesting project for the Railwayana specialist. Poor to Fair. (4)
