The Model Train Auction held on Friday 22nd April 2022 at the Vectis Thornaby Auction Rooms comprised over 690 lots of Hornby Dublo, Bassett-Lowke, Bing, Fleischmann, Graham Farish, Lima Mainline plus accessories. The sale also included general trains, kit-built items, live steam and railwayana. There was a good selection of constructional toys including Meccano outfits, sets, loose parts and cabinets.

Hornby (China) Thomas & Friends Diesel Locos comprising R9064 Co-Co green Class 37 type No.D261, R9050 0-6-0 black Devious Diesel Shunter, R9683 0-4-0 maroon and yellow Industrial Shunter "Dart", conditions are Good to Excellent in Fair to Excellent boxes. (3)

Hornby O Gauge E420 4-4-0 Loco and Tender Southern green "Eton" No.900, 3-rail electric. Loco is Excellent Plus to Near Mint in Fair box with plain corrugated wrapper, instructions date coded 3/38 all contained in a Fair box, tears to box base. Tender is Near Mint in a 2711 tender box.

Hornby O Gauge E220 Special 4-4-0 Loco and Tender Great Western green "County of Bedford" No.3821, 20-volt electric. Late issue version Near Mint in Fair taped box together with Near Mint tender in Good to Good Plus box. This is a late circa 1939/40 E220 County of Bedford in this matt finish seldom seen in this quality.

French Hornby O Gauge ETAT Brake End Pullman style Coach. Brown with gold lining and yellow central panels with ETAT in gold lettering to coach sides. Sides are Good Plus to Excellent with a Series Hornby Meccano Paris gold label to the underside.

French Hornby O Gauge Lyon Station. Yellow/cream base with double tinprinted building, overall Excellent to Excellent Plus in Good Plus box with Lyon sticker to one end.

Hornby O Gauge export FCS (Argentine) E120 0-4-0 Special Tank Loco FCS lined maroon No.2120, 20-volt electric. Loco driving wheels with some fatigue/cracks. Loco is Excellent to Excellent Plus.

Carette O Gauge rare tinplate Water Tower. Overall Excellent to Excellent Plus, tinprinted with brick effect lower portion with a number of advertising signs incorporated in the tinprinting including Bassett-Lowke Northampton, Model Railways, Hudson Soap, Oxo and others the upper portion tinprinted in yellow, lined in brown and black all on a grey base with ladder to one side. Missing hose otherwise Excellent, an extremely rare item produced by Carette pre 1st World War in O & Gauge 1.

ACE O Gauge modern issue E/9 4-6-2 Loco and Tender, Streamlined West Country Class "Tavistock" No.34011 in British Railways lined apple green livery. Front buffer beam expertly repainted, some wear to pick-ups otherwise Near Mint boxed.
