The Model Train sale held on the 14th of December featured OO Gauge British Outline, HO USA & Continental Outline and HOe Narrow Gauge, plus Hornby Dublo 2-rail and 3-rail, Wrenn Railways and Kit/Kitbuilt OO Gauge. Part 8 of The Chris Broos Lifetime Collection featured Coaches, Goods & Freight Cars and Locomotives and the sale continued with Meccano & Other Constructional Toys, Live Steam, and Gauge 1 and larger. There were over 130 lots of Hornby and other O gauge locomotives and rolling stock, and kit/scratchbuilt rolling stock, and the sale concluded with American Outline, Railwayana and our usual good selection of general trains.

Hornby (China) R2277 "Live Steam" 4-6-2 BR green A4 Class 60008 "Dwight D Eisenhower", loco appears unused and still in tissue in Mint picture box complete with all relevant tools along with gloves and bottle of live steam oil.

Gebauer O Gauge 4-6-2 Loco and Tender DRG black Class 03. Cab side number and Loco plates missing, fitted with electric lighting. Excellent to Excellent Plus.

DJB Engineering O Gauge 0-6-0 Loco and Tender BR black Class Q1 33040, 2-rail finescale electric. Finished in plain black with running number 33040 to cab side and British Railways transfer to tender sides. Fitted with a multi geared motor. Good Plus.

Kit/Scratchbuilt O Gauge 4-6-0 Loco and Tender SR King Arthur Class, 2-rail finescale electric. Fitted with a Leakey or similar motor. Loco requires painting, tender in plain grey. Some work required to finish nevertheless a well built loco, includes crew. Good to Good Plus.

Rare Ives O Gauge 1694 Train Set with Overhead Electric Locomotive and Cars consisting of a 4-4-4 Loco 1694 with side manufacturers name "Ives Lines", 1695 Passenger Car, 1696 Baggage Car and 1697 Passenger Car with Veranda. All finished in grey/cream with red bases and roof. All cars with internal lighting and one set of bogies fitted with roller pick-ups. These sets were produced in 1932 and by 1933 Lionel had taken over the Ives company and decided to change the loco to rubber stamped "Lionel Lines" and new rubber stamp numbers for the matching cars. In the same year Lionel decided to drop the Ives brand and to sell off all the old Ives stock outside the US to South America, Canada and Europe. Very few of these sets are known to exist and we are pleased to offer this set, the Locomotive Cars are generally Excellent in original condition all boxed with the correct numbered boxes and the "Ives Corporation" Sugar Place Irvington DJ, labels to each box.

GWR group of Railway items consisting of 84D (Leamington Spa) Shed Code cast plate, GWR Wagon plate 3039, both repainted together with a St. Erth leather money/security pouch with GWR "St. Erth" brass plate together with a GWR padlock. St. Erth is situated in Cornwall, the station was opened in March 1852 and named St. Erth in June 1877. (3)
