The Model Train sale held on the 13th of December featured OO Gauge British Outline Locomotives and Rolling Stock from Bachmann, Hornby (China), Mainline Railways, Lima, Heljan and others. Plus HO USA & Continental Outline from Liliput, Proto, Roco and Fleischmann; N Gauge, Hornby Dublo 2- and 3-rail, and Triang. Further lots included Wrenn Railway, OO Gauge Kitbuilt, Meccano & Other Constructional Toys, Live Steam and Gauge 1 & Larger. There were further lots from the Lawrence Scale Models OO Gauge Single Owner Collection, plus O Gauge ex-shop stock and others, Hornby, Modern and Further O Gauge and Kit/Scratchbuilt; Plus, Railwayana, Books, Magazines, Catalogues & Jigsaws, Pictures & Prints and our usual good selection of General Trains.

 

O.S. (Japan) 5" Gauge 0-2-2 Loco and Tender yellow and black "Rocket", Live Steam. One of a limited production produced by O.S. Japan. Features include all copper, silver soldered throughout, safety valves (popping type), regulator (ball-cock type) and other features. Fuel type can be coal or LPG (Propane), the loco includes "O.S. Live Steam Loco made in Japan" - builders plate to nearside rear of the loco. This model is unsteamed and has been on display since new. Mounted on a wooden base measuring 29" (74cm) x 10 1/2" (27cm) with perspex cover. Includes original O.S Product Leaflet. Mint.

Hornby (China) R2566 (Limited Edition) Live Steam 4-6-2 LNER green A3 Class 4472 "Flying Scotsman", this is the edition with two Tenders and complete with certificate No.716 of 1000 produced, Loco appears to have been fired but is still in Good Plus to Excellent condition in Good original box with some tools are missing but does include a bottle of live steam oil and gloves, picture box is Good to Good Plus.

Meccano quantity of ephemera associated from the shop in the previous 3 lots. This includes a number of invoices covering a range of Meccano Products from the late 1940's and 1950's. A large number of invoices together with 7 x special model leaflets, trade price lists dated 1953 covering Meccano, Motors, Dinky Builda, Hornby Dublo, Hornby O Gauge and other products together with a quantity of other items including a Meccano Playset No.0. An interesting set of Meccano ephemera from the late 40's into the 1960's. An ideal lot for the Meccano enthusiast. Good to Good Plus. (qty)

Bernard Jones Oil on Canvas Railway Painting depicting a Class V2 No.60970 by a Busy Shed/Works Scene, locomotive was built in 1943 and withdrawn in February 1966. The loco is depicted alongside an A4 Locomotive. Superbly mounted in a frame measuring 27" (69cm) x 19" (49cm). Excellent.

Bernard Jones Railway Painting Oil on Canvas depicting a busy station scene showing BR black 5 No.45435 and BR Class 4P No.4260, both built in 1937 and scrapped in 1966 and 1968 respectively. Superbly mounted in a frame measuring 33" (84cm) x 23" (59cm).
