The Military, Civilian Figures, Equipment & Accessories sale held on the 25th of February features Modern Issues from Britains, Marlborough and Tradition; Contemporary issues from King and Country, plus boxed and unboxed Britains Military Issues. Further items in the sale included figures and sets from Charbens, Britains, John Hill, and Crescent, plus John Ciuffo miniatures, Heco WW1 aircraft, and Dinky, as well as plastic issues from Britains, Timpo and Timpo Swoppets, and Airfix plus many others. The sale also included Militaria badges and medals, Toy Soldier/Military Books & Catalogues, plus The Benbros Collection.

 

 

Britains - Set MOD 55/22/1 - Un-catalogued Band [Special Commission Set], 1950's Issue, comprising: Band of the Royal Marine Light Infantry: Band Master with Baton & 23 x Marching Musicians Playing Various Instrumentation. Depicted in Red Jackets, Blue Trousers & White Marine Pattern Helmets. This 24 Piece Set Differs from the Original 21 Piece Set,1622 [1938/41] in that the Figures are Depicted with Dress Bayonets & Playing a Different Combination of Instruments. Originally Commissioned [by the Ministry of Defence] for Display in the Regiment's Home Town Army Recruiting Office [Plymouth]. [Sales Department] Employee who it is believed "liberated" it upon Retirement in the Mid 1960's, the set having remained un-issued. It has Remained in the Employees Home for the last 60+ years.
