The Matchbox Superfast sale  held on the 29th of July featured Part 2 of The Bruce King New Zealand collection. Lots included road and racing cars, aircraft, trucks, boats, car transporters and buses. Plus, Emergency vehicles, motorcycles and much more. The sale featured a 30a Faun crane truck with rare orange crane jib; an 8a Ford Mustang in white and a 24b Team Matchbox racing car with lemon yellow body with blue background racing number 4 nose label, bare metal base, and Maltese Cross wheels.

 

Matchbox Superfast 4b Gruesome Twosome - metallic orange-gold body, rare dark amber windows, lemon yellow interior, bare metal base, 5-spoke wheels - Excellent with chrome loss to both engines in Excellent "New" type H box.

Matchbox Superfast 4d '57 Chevy - metallic pale pink body & hood, clear windows, chrome interior, bare metal base, rare dot-dash front wheels, 5-crown rear wheels - Excellent Plus (body unmarked but unfortunately base has some tarnishing) in Excellent Plus type L box without "New". Rare factory wheel error.

Matchbox Superfast 5 x 13c Snorkel Fire Engine - all are 5-arch wheels (1) bright red body, blue windows & roof-lights, yellow hoist & platform, bare metal base; (2) as (1) amber windows & roof-lights; (3) as (1) but dark red body; (4) as (3) but silver painted base; (5) as (4) but white hoist & platform (rear suspension low) - Excellent to Mint in Good Plus to Near Mint type K boxes 3 with & 2 without "New". (5)

Matchbox Superfast 14a Iso Grifo - blue body with early nose emblem, clear windows, white interior, rare silver painted base, 5-spoke wide wheels - Excellent with scratch/rub mark to roof along with a few tiny paint chips in Mint "New" type H box.

Matchbox Superfast 8 x 16b Pontiac Firebird - all are clear windows, red interior, dot-dash wheels (1) metallic darker shade champagne gold body with hood label, bare metal base; (2) metallic champagne gold body with light brown background hood label, bare metal base; (3) as (2) but dark brown background hood label; (4) as (3) but hood label has sunfaded to a light grey background; (5) champagne gold body with yellow-gold background hood label, bare metal base; (6) metallic yellow-gold body with yellow-gold background hood label, bare metal base without model number cast; (7) white body with blue & black tampo print, bare metal base without model number cast; (8) as (7) but silver painted base without model number cast - Excellent to Mint in Fair sunfaded & worn but still complete to Excellent "New" type L boxes. Matchbox Superfast 17b Daimler Fleetline Londoner Bus "Swinging London Carnaby Street" - chrome plated giftware series body, bare metal base with cast circular mounts, 5-spoke wheels - Good with some play wear in Good faded "New" type I box.

Matchbox Superfast 27b Lamborghini Countach - yellow body with racing number 3 nose label, red windows, chrome interior, rare silver painted base, 5-spoke wheels - Near Mint with a couple of tiny pin size factory assembly paint chips only in Mint "New" type I box.

Matchbox Superfast 30a Faun Crane Truck - red cab & chassis, rare orange crane jib with yellow plastic hook, solid 5-spoke narrow wheels all but one of which have tread pattern cast - overall Excellent with some paint chips including large chip to rear of crane ballast box in Good Plus to Excellent "New" type G box.

Matchbox Superfast 38d Ford Camper Preproduction trial model - burnt orange body, dark green windows, cream camper body fitted with amber windows, bare metal base with model number 35 cast, dot-dash wheels - Mint in Fair worn/split but still factory sealed 1980 copyright US issue blister pack.
