Now That's Just Dinky!
On Wednesday 6th September Vectis Auction will be presenting one of the finest Dinky Toy Collections to be sold in recent years. There will be over 700 lots of British Dinky cars, commercials, buses and military vehicles offered, mainly in their original boxes, were applicable. Early Dinky cars were not retailed in individual boxes but rather sold in trade cartons of six to the retailer.
The owner, Steve Bonney has been collecting fine Dinky for over 30 years but feels it is now the right time to offer his assembly to a new audience.
Included is a rare 'Sweeteners for Industry' Leyland Octopus Tanker (No. 944), which was produced in 1963 - 1964 only as a promotional piece and given away in a plain box with a lemon bottom and white lid.
