Charlie Chaplin 1915 hand-written letter to a fan, written in black ink on "Charles Chaplin, Los Angeles, California" (embossed in dark blue) headed notepaper. Chaplin wrote the letter from Los Angeles after completion of his famous film "The Little Tramp". He worked for Essany Studios during this time.

The letter is discoloured and folded and is mounted onto board. There are small holes where the folds intersect and there are tears running along the line of the fold. The ink has faded but remains Good to read.

The letter was sent in response to a young boy who was a fan and used to dress up as Charlie Chaplin- the picture included in this lot is of him dressed as Chaplin.

The letter states: "Oct 20/15. Dear Little George, Received your little card and your picture is very good, thank you. Sincerely Charlie Chaplin". Letter size: 5"/13cm x 8.5"/22cm. Accompanying photograph 5" x 3.25". NB The vendor is the little boy's grandchild. There is a hand-written letter of provenance.
