Aviation, Kits and Model Auction (Timed) - Tuesday 17 September 2024 10:00

This auction includes aircraft model kit groups from Airfix, Revell, Matchbox, Italeri and many others, plus Wingnut Wings boxed sets, decal and detail sets; remote control model aircraft, Corgi Aviation Archive, Franklin Mint, Oxford Aviation and Gemini Jets.  The sale also includes military kits & vehicles, truck kits, HO scale railway related kits, model car kits and RC model kits. Further items include Tamiya Water Line series ships and similar, Triang Minic ships, Deans Marine Ship model kits and unboxed RC model ships. There are also original Airfix Artworks from Roy Cross and Ken McDonough and a rare carded D-Day playset.

Lot 325 - Airfix D-DAY Playset, Circa, 1964.   Consisting of Patton Tank, Centurion Tank, Infantry Combat Group Figures, 2 x Emplacements & Tank Obstacles. Unopened contents (factory sealed) contained on illustrated blister pack card.  The first version of the Airfix playset range, extremely rare, only the second example to be available at auction by Vectis.

Lot 332 - Airfix Original Artwork by Ken McDonough, Model Kit Catalogue Illustration for Supermarine Spitfire Mk.1A.  Includes example pages of the 16th Edition Kit Catalogue.  Including the outer border the artwork measures approximately 21 cm in height by 24 cm in width.

Lot 250 - DeAgostini, a complete built 1:8 scale Jaguar E-Type model. Comes complete with 100 DeAgostini "Build The Jaguar E-Type" Magazines. This model will have taken approximately 2 years to build with parts issued weekly. Model has incredible detail and opening parts. Comes with spare wheel in rear. Rarely comes up for sale complete. Condition is Good although it would benefit from a polish. Also comes with bag of individual named/numbered small parts mainly screws such as JP04, JD01 etc.
