Matchbox Superfast 4d '57 Chevy Factory Pre-Production Colour Trial - metallic silver-blue body, white hood, dark green windows, chrome interior, black unplated engine & front bumper, bare metal base which has not been zinc plated, Dot-Dash front wheels & 5-Crown rear wheels, hood has short locating lugs - Excellent Unboxed with small marks to roof & early casting flaws.
This first design failed child safety tests because of concerns around loose parts, so was re-designed stronger arond the hinged hood, however this altered design was thought as unattractive when viewed from the front, resulting in further casting changes - Consigned by Ex-Lesney Employee.
