Black wax over composition shoulder head doll, c 1870, inset black pupil-less eyes, wooden jointed body, black kid leather arms, wearing black striped silk dress, red woollen petticoat, leather boots with beaded detail and lead soles and heels, wine velvet beaded hat and shawl, loss of wax to head, 17"/43cm.
