SFBJ 301 antique bisque doll and baby automaton, French, impressed 301 23, 1899-on, blue fixed eyes, mohair lashes, open mouth, very tiny chips to left upper eye lid, blonde wig and pate, wooden, hollow carton and wire armatured body, composition hands cradle tiny all-bisque baby, with painted features and hair, jointed limbs, key wound movement (sticky) to waist, allowing mother to rock baby by swaying torso and arms, mother height 15"/38cm and baby height 1.75"/7cm. Mounted on rectangular velvet covered wooden plinth, housing key wound musical movement, overall height (including doll) 17"/43cm.
