Full Lot Description

Enid Blyton 'Noddy' postcard with a handwritten message to the recipient from Blyton and her signature from 1952. The postcard details: "Dear Peter, Please thank Mummy for her nice letter - I am getting better now. Hospital is a very nice place. I am glad you like Noddy. I will be sure to write you plenty more stories about him. Lots of love from Enid Blyton". The postcard was sent from St Stephen's Hospital, where she was at the time. The card is in Good condition, with edge wear and creases around edges and corners, with yellowing and slight foxing. However, the writing is legible and intact as is the rest of the card and stamp. Also included are six Enid Blyton books, that vary from Fair to Good condition, inclusive of: 'Round the Year stories', 'Noddy goes to School', 'Well done Noddy!', 'The Boy with the Loaves and Fishes', 'Before I go to Sleep' and 'Enid Blyton's book of her famous play Noddy in Toyland'. Plus an 'Enid Blyton's Magazine Club' pin badge in Good condition. (qty)
