Quantity of Christmas decorations, crackers, paper hats and dressing-up outfits, plus vintage cardboard boxes, suitcase, etc, used to store the toys found within the attic at Craigard. This is like a time capsule, relating to family life in the days when Christmastide and parties were very special events in the yearly calendar. Includes: (1) Royal Ediswan Decoration lights, in original box; (2) Paul Jones Garland; (3) Quantity of glass baubles; (4) Celluloid Fairy dolls (Japan) x four- some with crepe paper dresses; (5) Cecil Coleman Harlequin box of unused crackers; (6) two boxes- each containing five x vintage miniature Christmas tree decorations, each with four tiny candles and a glass bauble, constructed from wire and wrapped in tinsel; (7) various other wire and tinsel decorations, plus strands of tinsel; (8) some cardboard boxes- used for storage- includes Chivers Jams, Turnbulls Ltd- Hawick, A Fraser Ltd- Inverness; (9) Newspaper pages from the Sunday Express London- June 1 1930, pair of India Stamp Journals March and July 1949; (10) large suitcase- stamped with Craigard's address to the lid. This was the very suitcase the teddy bears and friends were kept safe within for all those years- through the four seasons- including many cold Scottish winters!; etc; Poor to Good (large volume- on a pallet). NB: The Craigard Attic Treasures Collection comprises the family contents of an old attic within a Scottish house which had lain untouched for several decades. (Lots 5501- 5519 inclusive.)
