Moritz-Gottschalk - Marienburg-Sachsen, Germany, circa 1935 - Model Nr 649 - Wireless Station, comprising: Rare pre-war British export version of the Funk Unterstand - [Radio Bunker]: Medium Bunker [32 x 18cm] with Telegraph Pole, external light & Radio Bunker with reinforced entrance. Constructed from wood & cardboard covered with sculpted composite material & painted in a green/brown scheme [modelled on examples from the Siegfried Line of the 1930's]. The Bunker houses an Elastolin Model 659 - Morse Code Telegraph & Crew - the scarce pre-war British Version, comprising: Radio Operator & Assistant, working Morse Radio Set & flip-up Morse Code board. Complete with cruciform ariel & battery leads. Base marked: "ELASTOLIN". Also, small Elastolin Searchlight/Signal Light [Model 727] on tripod, complete with bulb & battery leads & British Operator figure washing in a bucket [base marked: "LINEOL Germany"]. Some minor age wear otherwise Excellent overall. RARE British version of a Scarce pre-war Ensemble. The first time Vectis have offered these models for sale [4].
