Royal Marines - Recruiting Office Desk/Window Display Sign circa 1955/60, comprising: Showcard Sign for the Royal Marines, Polychrome Finish, 10.5 x 14.5", the design is in the form of a Picture Frame with Fold-Out Support Strut & Metal Edging. The Face Depicting a Naval Base with a Royal Marine & R.M. Sergeant in the Foreground Beneath [from a Charles Wood Painting]which is Printed: "Go everywhere, do everything in the ROYAL MARINES Apply to the nearest Naval Recruiting Office or write to D.N.R. (P.K.) Admiralty, London, S.W.1" . Probably by Gibbs & Gibbs Ltd. [London] the Company that produced "Washable Auto-Gloss Showcards" in the 1950's. Some minor age-wear otherwise generally Excellent overall. Scarce.
