Full Lot Description

Michael Foster Hornby Dublo Book original draft of the Hornby Companion Series Book as originally sent by Michael Foster to New Cavendish Books. A copy of the draft sent to the various editorial team produced in the late 70s, along with pages received from New Cavendish Books for editing etc. Also included is the compilation by Alan Ellis for the listing at the rear of the book. 5 large files of correspondence which Michael Foster had prior to the publication of the book and is basic research before the publication of the book. 2 of the Volumes refer to correspondence he had with various individuals and companys after the publication of the first edition which obviously would have led to the various improvement and amendments to the book at a later time. This large archive contains many letters to well known manufacturers, Meccano Ltd themselves individuals and anybody who could help in any way in getting all the facts and details of Hornby Dublo. This is a completely unique archive especially as Michael Foster's Book is still regarded as the definitive publication on Hornby Dublo Railways.
