A fine Jumeau Bebe triste bisque doll, French, c.1885, impressed 15, body stamped in blue Jumeau Medaille d'or Paris, blue glass paperweight fixed eyes, dark eyeliner encircles eye socket, painted lashes, very pale mauve eyeshadow, delicately feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the shaded and outlined lips, separately applied pierced ears, auburn wig-over-cork pate, deeply defined facial features such as philtrim and dimpled chin, deeply depressed dimples at corners of mouth, composition and wooden very plump body with loose ball joints at thighs, knees, straight wrists, very small black firing speck to nose and chin, ear piercings very slightly chipped, stringing is loose, minor wear to body - mainly at joints, fingers rubbed, some original white cotton underwear, 32"/81cm.
