FH Ayres large antique wooden rocking horse, British, 1920s, clear glass eyes with black pupils and brown painted backs, flared nostrils, open mouth with teeth, finished in original dapple grey, with remains of original bridle, saddle and crupper, remains of mane and tail, upon sturdy wooden trestle rocker, Good to Good Plus, 47"/119cm to top of head. NB: Comes with hand-written letter of provenance- "FH Ayres rocking horse 1920s. This horse was bought new in the 1920s for a brother and sister who lived in a Somerset village. In 1963 the family home was sold and the horse was put up for sale. the rocking horse remained in the same village with another local family until 2022".

Payment for lots can be made by Credit or Debit card (we accept all major cards), by Bank Transfer, or by cheque provided we have a bank guarantee or alternative arrangements have been agreed.
