Andrew has worked at Vectis for 28 years, with his specialist knowledge covering vintage diecast and TV & Film related items, he has a personal interest in tinplate and plastic models, including Sci-fi and space related. Andrew has worked in many departments within the company, including auctioneering, however he has been a cataloguer for over 25 years, finding it a fascinating role, handling thousands of toys, there’s always something new, that hasn’t been seen before. 

Andrew is a collector himself with an extensive James Bond Collection, as well as other sought after vintage toys. Andew started collecting over 40 years ago, with his first buy being a 1977 Lotus Esprit from the James Bond Movie, this is when the passion started and he has been collecting and attending Toy Fairs ever since. His piece of collecting advice would be that collecting should be done because you like something, rather than for investment. Buy because you like it, or it means something to you, something that evokes nostalgia.

Over the years Andrew has had the opportunity to travel extensively with Vectis meeting collectors and has auctioneered some of the most elite toys. He has appeared on TV shows such as The One Show and This Morning.
