Part 1 of the Julia Holloway Collection can be found on the 5^th of November as part of our Doll & Teddy Bear auction, this day includes a large collection of rare vintage Steiff animals, including birds, dinosaurs, fish, frogs, spiders, ferrets and much more, plus a Gingerbread house shop display. Part two, held the following day on the 6^th of November includes further Steiff animals, plus nativity and Christmas sets, perpetual calendars, Beatrix Potter and Winnie The Pooh Collections, Suzanne Gibson/Reeves International sets, and Lundby The Swedish Dolls House furniture and accessories.

“This collection of Steiff animals was curated by Julia Holloway. Her interest began in childhood when she was given Steiffs as gifts, linked to her German heritage. Later, as a mother to animal-loving children, she continued the tradition by gifting them Steiff animals too.

Over time, her interest grew into a true passion. Julia began collecting seriously, focusing on rare, high-quality, and unusual vintage animals, especially from the 1950s to 1970s. She also enjoyed more contemporary Limited Edition pieces. Many of these were used to decorate the family home during festive times like Christmas and Easter, adding a special touch to the celebrations.

This collection was a source of great joy for Julia, and her family now hopes that the new owners will find just as much enjoyment in these special pieces.”
