The Specialist Sale held on the 4th of December featured four private owner collections. The Leicestershire Collection, The Middlesex Collection, The Scottish Collection and The Netherlands Collection. They contained a mix of boxed and unboxed Corgi and Dinky Cars, Commercials, Military, Construction and TV & Film related vehicles. The collections also included French and Spanish Dinky, Triang Spot-On, Mebetoys and Tekno plus Corgi Whizzwheels and Chipperfield Circus, Pre-War Dinky and promotional issues.

 

 

Dinky Pre-war 22a Sports Coupe - finished in blue, yellow, dark blue metal wheels, (Hornby Series base 1933/34) - overall condition is generally Excellent Plus (couple of small marks on wheels arches) - still an outstanding example of a rare and hard to find issue.

Dinky Pre-war 280k (Type 2) Delivery Van - "H.G. Loose" - green body, silver trim, smooth black hubs with white tyres - although overall condition is generally Fair model appears to be fatigue free - extremely rare opportunity to acquire.

Dinky 514 Guy "Lyons Swiss Rolls" Van - deep blue body, mid-blue ridged hubs with black smooth tyres - overall condition is generally Good Plus still a lovely bright example that displays well in a Good Plus blue lift off lid box with paper label.

Dinky 449 Chevrolet El Camino Pick-Up Truck - two-tone turquoise, cream, yellow interior (harder variation to find), spun hubs - Excellent (does have a couple of small marks to roof edges) in a generally Good Plus yellow and red carded picture box.

Dinky 989 Car Carrier "Auto Transporters" - Export Issue - finished in pale yellow cab and base, light grey back, blue ramps, red plastic hubs - overall condition is generally Excellent in a Fair to Good gold with red and black stripes Export window box (has been re-cellophaned at some time) - see photo.

Dinky 274 Mini Van "Joseph Mason Paints" - dark red/maroon body, chrome hubs, plastic roof board - overall condition is Good Plus (could be better if time spent in cleaning) still a lovely bright example that displays well.

Dinky 262 Volkswagen "PTT" - yellow body and ridged hubs, black wheel arches, silver trim - Excellent (couple of very minor box rub wear marks to roof) still a beautiful unboxed example.

Corgi GS41 Transporter gift set to include Ford Transporter - orange cab, blue trailer, cast hubs - Good Plus (does require slight attention in cleaning) with 6 x Cars (1) Morris Mini Minor - maroon, lemon interior, cast hubs; (2) Morris Mini Cooper "wickerwork" - black body, red roof, "wickerwork" side panels, lemon interior, cast hubs; (3) BMC Mini Cooper S "International Rally" finish - red including interior, white roof, cast hubs; (4) MGC GT - yellow, black interior, bonnet and hatch; (5) Sunbeam Imp "Rallye Monte Carlo" - blue, white flashes, off white interior, cast hubs (weak suspension) and (6) Ford Consul Cortina Super Estate car - graphite grey, cream interior, wood effect side panels, spun hubs - conditions are generally Good Plus to Excellent Plus nice bright examples, polystyrene tray is Good, blue and yellow lift off lid is Good Plus still a nice bright example - see photo.

Triang Spot-On Mulliner Luxury Coach - two-tone silver, blue, red flashes, cast hubs, cream interior with black steering wheel - overall condition is generally Excellent (does have wear to number plate decals) still a lovely bright unboxed example.

Corgi 203m Vauxhall Velox Saloon - orange body, silver trim, flat spun hubs, mechanical motor - Excellent Plus (very minor box rub wear marks to roof) still a beautiful example in a Good Plus blue carded picture box with colour folded leaflet - see photo.

Corgi 238 Jaguar Mark X - silver body, red interior, spun hubs - with luggage case - Near Mint a beautiful example in a generally Excellent blue and yellow carded picture box.

Corgi Empty Boxes a group to include 227 Morris Mini Cooper "Competition Model"; 309 Aston Martin DB4 "Competition Model"; 317 Mini Cooper S "Rallye Monte Carlo" - (plain box) and 340 Sunbeam Imp "Rallye Monte Carlo" - conditions are generally Good (slightly grubby) to Excellent. (4)

Dinky 100 "Thunderbirds" - Lady Penelope's FAB 1 - finished in pink including roof slides, gold interior with "Lady Penelope & Parker" figures, cast spun hubs - overall condition is generally Near Mint (couple of very minor marks) still a beautiful example, inner pictorial stand is Excellent, outer carded picture box is Good Plus to Excellent (couple of small marks on edges) still a lovely bright example, also comes accompanied with correct missile and harpoons - see photo.
