Lot 1468

Full Lot Description

Nomura (TN Toys of Japan) "Batman" battery-operated tinplate Robot - very scarce example dating from 1966, 12.5"/32cm high, finished in two-tone blue, detailed plastic head resembling Adam West, one of several facial variations, this one in a grinning pose (small manufacturers paint mark to chin). The robot is fitted with a blue cloth cape over his shoulders with Batman motif to the rear, the cape is held by a Bat shaped clip to his chest. The toy was made to produce a walking action with his head illuminating, untested but does have a very clean battery compartment, some very light age-related wear and manufacturers assembly marks - otherwise an Excellent Plus bright example which still retains a Good Plus illustrated box (which does have some slight fading to the printing on the top left hand corner and side of the box) but this doesn't detract from the fact that this is a Good Plus illustrated box which has survived remarkably well and still includes the UK "Fairylite" logo with its inner cardboard packing pieces.
