Laurel & Hardy clockwork character dolls: Attributed to Hertwig & Co, German, 1920s, bisque character heads, with painted features and moulded bowler hats, painted hair, cylinder body with wooden lower arms and metal feet, clockwork mechanism to rear allowing figures to walk, felt clothing, white shirt, black bow tie and black felt suits with white cotton cuffs, exceedingly rare, with well modelled likeness to the original comedy characters, some very minor discolouration to white felt otherwise Excellent Plus to Near Mint, 8"/20cm tall in working order. This lot also comes with previous auction catalogue dated 14th May 2008.
