Hornby O Gauge No.2 Special Pullman Set Consisting Of 4-4-0 Loco
Hornby O Gauge No.2 Special Pullman Set consisting of 4-4-0 Loco and Tender LMS maroon "Compound" No.1185, Clockwork. Early version with red running plate and gold Hornby manufactured by Meccano Ltd Liverpool transfer on the left corner of the running plate, vacuum pipe, finished in silver. Marking around keyhole, running plate and cab sides but generally Excellent. Tender finished in plain red with block gold LMS lettering to tender sides and droplink coupling. Sides are Excellent. Included with this set are Pullmans "Iolanthe" and Brake and Coach "Arcadia" versions with all cream band, roof and fitted with droplink couplings. Sides are Good Plus, set is complete with a circle of tinplate track, track clips and key, all contained in a picture lidded box showing the Caerphilly Castle on No.2 Special Train Set box. Instructions glued to the underside of the box lid, date coded 4/29. Good.

Hornby O Gauge E320 Loco and Tender GWR green "Caerphilly Castle" No.4073, 20v Electric. Some marks to roof and driving wheels fatigued. Generally Excellent. Tender with GWR monogram transfer to tender sides. Sides are Good Plus to Excellent, all contained in the correct boxed date coded 11/38 with corrugated wrapper end pieces and boiler cover. Included with this lot are instructions for running Hornby 20v Electric Locomotives, Hornby electrically lighted accessory instructions and an interesting Hornby Railway Co (junior section chapter 1 Hornby Railways Gauge O and OO Gauge with some interesting pictures showing Hornby Princess Elizabeth and early Hornby Dublo Electric and Clockwork). Also included with the lot is an oval of tinplate clockwork track, key and a packet of connecting plates. Excellent Plus contained in a late yellow and blue box, box lid has been over labelled with the description "No.21 Passenger Set" at the Factory which originally was a No.30 Goods Set. Box Excellent. Also included with this set is a No.21 Passenger Set the base of which appears to be for a No.31 Set. Included in the box are 7 pieces of tinplate clockwork track. Good Plus. (2)
