Attend an Auction and visit North East England

If you usually participate in our Sales via the Internet, telephone or by leaving commission bids, why not make the most out of the sale and visit the North East; attend in person, experience the atmosphere of a busy sale room and then visit one of the many attractions in the area.

Situated just off the A19 Vectis Auctions is easily accessible with a number of hotels, attractions, historical sites, museums, theatres, tours and National Parks. Many of the wonderful activities in the North are no more than an hour away from our head office here in Stockton on Tees.

Why not head to the coast to the historical sea side town of Whitby and visit the home of Dracula, the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, Whitby Abbey, have fish and chips on the pier and climb the 199 steps.

For our Railway enthusiasts there is the North Yorkshire Moors Railway which runs from Whitby to Pickering. Taking in sights such as the world's earliest horse-drawn passenger railway tunnel, built between 1833 and 1835 by George Stephenson; Goathland Station which is also known as 'Hogsmeade Station' from the first Harry Potter film and 'Aidensfield' in the beloved ITV programme Heartbeat.

Alternatively head over to York to the National Railway Museum and discover 300 years of history including over 100 locomotives, telling the story of railways from the early 19th Century; whilst there you can also pay a visit to the historic market town and tour the iconic York Minster and its walls.

For our artistic and cultural visitors there is the Angel of the North in Gateshead, the Transporter Bridge and Temenos in Middlesbrough and our very own Artsbank.
