7th March Results of the Specialist Toy Sale
The results from the Specialist Toy Sale at Vectis on Tuesday the 7th
 
The Specialist sale which was held on the 7th March featured six private owner collections:-

The Surrey Collection � This model car collection which is the life work of a former employee of Dunlop and includes high quality examples of mainly boxed Corgi, Dinky, French Dinky, Britains and Spot One.
The Malta Collection Part Two - again primarily boxed and in prime condition of Corgi, Dinky, Mercury and Crescent Toys
The Lincolnshire Collection - features boxed, unboxed and loose vehicles from Dinky Military, Aircraft and Buses.
The Devonshire Collection offers further Dinky and Spot On models plus Brooklyn and The Perfect Toy.
The North Yorkshire Collection has a quantity of models in various scales from Rigby, Tomica, Bravo Delta, Ebbro and Mini Champs amongst others.
The Warwickshire Collection � a superb assortment of boxed Dinky
 
The sale also included an excellent cross section of general Diecast such as Matchbox Models of Yesteryear and Superkings, Scalextric and Merit Kits.

Corgi No.302 Hillman Hunter "London to Sydney Marathon Winner" - blue, white, black bonnet, grey interior, Golden Jacks take-off wheels, with kangaroo figure, instruction and unapplied decal sheet - overall condition is Mint including blue and yellow window box - superb shop stock example - see photo.
Estimate: £120 - £140

Corgi No.269 "James Bond" Lotus Esprit taken from the film "The Spy Who Loved Me" - white, black with "007" label to bonnet, comes with missiles attached to sprue in a Excellent "Hammer & Sickle" film strip window box (does have some slight crushing to cellophane) - also comes accompanied with rare "The New James Bond Corgi" outer sleeve - these were given to VIP's following the press showing of the film at the Odeon Leicester Square - comes with various signatures including "Roger Moore" - superb opportunity to acquire a rare and hard to find piece of packaging - see photo. An example can be seen on page 353 of the Great Book of Corgi.

Corgi No.322 Rover 2000 "International Rally Finish� factory shrinked tray pack contains six examples which are all believed to be Mint in Near Mint to Mint boxes (all come with correct flashes but do have some glue residue marks) - see photo.

Dinky No.38E Armstrong Siddeley Coupe Trade Pack containing six examples to include 3 x grey, mid-grey ridged hubs, blue interior and 3 x green, mid-green ridged hubs, grey interior. Conditions are generally Excellent to Excellent Plus (all will require some light attention in cleaning) in a Good original Trade Pack with dividers - see photo.

Dinky No.40E Standard Vanguards Saloon Trade Pack containing six examples which includes 3 x fawn including ridged hubs and 3 x blue with fawn ridged hubs. Conditions are generally Excellent to Near Mint (all will require some light attention in cleaning) in a Good Plus Trade Pack with dividers - see photo.

Dinky No.920 Guy Warrior "Heinz 57 Varieties" - red cab and chassis, yellow back and Supertoy hubs with black treaded tyres - cab and chassis are Excellent, back is Good Plus (does have chips on protruding edges) - still a bright example of a harder to find issue, comes in a Good correct plain blue and white striped lift off lid box - see photo.
