Highlights - Model Train Sale 20th January 
 
The Model Train Sale held at the Thornaby auction rooms on Friday the 20th January presented a wonderful array of trains, sets and accessories covering the main collector areas such as British Outline OO Gauge, Triang Railways, Wrenn, Kit & Kitbuilt OO Gauge ,Trix, HO Gauge Continental, American HO Gauge, N Gauge, Z Gauge, Gauge 1 & Larger, O Gauge and Live Steam.

A good quantity of Ex Shop Stock was also included in the sale plus kits and Kitbuilt lots. Additionally the sale had a gathering of  Meccano & Other Constructional Toys and ever popular Railwayana, General Trains, Books and Pictures.

J & M Models Fulgurex Gauge 1 Wagons-Lits Grand European Express Saloon Coach No.4257 in blue. Added detail to interior otherwise Good Plus to Excellent.

Wrenn W2301 Streamlined Coronation Class 4-6-2 Loco and Tender LMS blue "Queen Elizabeth" No.6221. Excellent Plus in Good Plus to Excellent box, base coded 06427 and includes instructions.

Meccano 6 Drawer Sloping Front Shop Accessory Cabinet with Post War Head Board. Includes a good quantity of mixed parts. Conditions are mainly Fair to Excellent within a well worn Good Cabinet.

Marklin G Gauge reference 5516 Electric Articulated Loco brown No.EG589, 2-rail electric. Loco finished in brown with grey roof, diecast metal body with much detail including opening doors, catenary and much others. Running No.589 and "AEG" plate to cab/motor sides. Near Mint to Mint boxed with outer mailer and reservation certificate.

Accucraft Gauge 1 0-6-0 Tank Loco green and black, Live Steam. Known as "Wrekin" the loco has been steamed on a number of occasions and would benefit from a general light clean but otherwise Excellent and complete with boiler test certificate dated July 5th 2005 together with operating instructions and Excellent box.
