16th December - Model Train sale
The Model Train Sale held on Friday 16th December 2016 consisted of a superb selection of Hornby (China) locomotives and rolling stock. Bachmann and other manufacturers such as British Outline.  A wonderful array of HO American and Continental locomotives, rolling stock and accessories.  English and Continental  Outline N Gauge and Hornby Dublo in abundance, plus O Gauge and general train kits. The sale also included Part 5 of the Malcolm Hanson Meccano and Construction Toys Collection containing Meccano both loose and in sets, models, boats, aeroplanes and associated ephemera.  Bayko, Minibrix and Tudor were also featured with several cabinets available to house them all! The sale concluded with an interesting section of Railwayana, books, pictures and general trains.

Lot 5008 -- Meccano 1930's No.3 Storage Box with a number of parts in blue and gold. Includes flexible plates, pulleys, brassware and associated items all contained in a large red Meccano No.3 Storage Box with 2 x lift out trays. Estimate: £150 - £200 Sold for: £400
 
 
Lot 5077 -- Meccano factory model of a 1970's Suspension Bridge with moving roadway for Dinky Toys. Measuring 86" x 14" approximately complete with motors at either end with Meccano advertising signs to both sides of the bridge and fitted with electric light. Would benefit from a clean but overall condition is generally Good to Good Plus. Estimate: £120 - £160 Sold for: £640
 
 
Lot 5106 -- Bayko circa 1935 oak model Castle. Will require a little work but otherwise condition is generally Excellent. Estimate: £360 - £460 Sold for: £750
 
 
 
Lot 5116 -- Mini/Tudor Bricks Tudor Residents built using white, black and brown bricks with green base. All mounted on a wooden base measuring 15" x 11" approximately. Good Plus. Estimate: £80 - £120Sold for: £200
 
 
Lot 5166 -- Station Clock. BR (E) 15292. Has workings but incomplete. Estimate: £30 - £50 Sold for: £220
 
 
 
Lot 5169 -- Metal "No Admittance" Sign from Falkirk Loco Shed. Estimate: £15 - £30 Sold for: £110
 
 
Lot 5438 -- Heljan/Roco Railway Accessories consisting of Roco 40110 Dock Crane, Heljan 89001 Motorised Crane together with a Fleischmann or similar Motorised Crane. Condition is Excellent to Excellent Plus in Excellent boxes. (3) Estimate: £80 - £120 Sold for: £520
 
 
Lot 5596 -- Graham Farish OO Gauge Streamline Merchant Navy/Battle of Britain Class Locomotives and Tenders consisting of a 4-6-2 BR green West Country Class "Plymouth" No.34003, BR blue Merchant Navy Class "Belgian Marine" No.35017 and Battle of Britain Class BR green "The Royal Observer Corps" No.34050.
