The Vectis USA Auction held in York, Pennsylvania on Saturday 27 November was advertised as "our best sale of the year" and they were right!

Toy auction house Vectis had its best week ever with four sales of toys and trains making over half a million pounds for the Teesside based company.

A collection of nearly 400 lots, which included models ranging from tinplate and plastic to diecast and white metal versions in every size. Together with a large amount of Jaguar memorabilia successfully came under the hammer on Wednesday 6th October with excellent prices achieved.

Toys, advertising material and historical items from Frank Hornby's famous Meccano company made over ?100,000 when they were sold by auction house Vectis in Rugby on October 2nd.

A matchbox Superfast toy MB 22 Red Pontiac sports car reached a world record price of just under �4,000 ($6050) when Vectis Auctions at their North American saleroom in York Pennsylvania sold it on Saturday July 24th.
